Paper crafts have been round for a lot of a long time and though the artwork of crafting with paper steadily declined in the 90’s, the new scrap-reserving craze resurrected this all time favorite and put life again into it. Visible Arts News’ research intern explores the legacy of two NFB films from the ’70s—One movie portrayed Indigenous people in visible artwork, whereas the other depicted Indigenous people as visible art. Most of the late 18th and 19th century Romantic and Impressionist painters such as George Stubbs, the French artists Edgar Degas, Théodore Géricault, Edouard Manet, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec all made famous paintings of horse races.
